Ilchi Lee on focus and choice

One of my habits I want to change so much is hesitation. When I do something, I tend to doubt it. “Will this work?” “Have I chosen the right path for me?” “Shouldn’t the way that my friend has chosen work better?”

I saw Ilchi Lee saying about Mulberry tree and Pine tree. He says not to think about a mulberry tree while standing in front of a pine tree. At first I had absolutely no idea about what he is saying about. One can enjoy the fresh scent of pine trees inside a deep pine tree forest. When she opens her chest wide and breathe in that scent, her head becomes clear. That phenomenon will take place only when she appreciates it and focus on it. What if she thinks about a mulberry tree? What will happen she is having a mulberry tree in her mind in the middle of pine trees, full of pine fragrance? Will she be able to smell the scent that pine trees generously share with her?

While she is actually surrounded by pine trees, her head will be full of images of the mulberries and large leaves of the mulberry tree. When you made a choice to something, you should focus on it and appreciate it. If your mind is full of other images other than the one you have chosen, you might not be able to achieve your goal or see a positive change.
